Homemade gazpacho

The perfect spicy refresher during the warmer days

Originating from Spain, this cold soup, made from raw vegetables and herbs, is a must try. Gazpacho not only satisfies your hunger, quenches your thirst, and gives your body a nutritious boost. Easy to whip up at home while enjoying beautiful warm weather.

Ingredients (for 4 persons)

1 Red chili pepper

2 Cucumbers

2 Red pepper

500g peeled tomatoes

5 Ripe Pomodoro tomatoes

1 Garlic clove

5 Basil leaves

1 Slice of white bread, crust removed

250ml Tomato juice

Splash of vinegar


  1. Cut the seeds from the pepper and the red chili pepper.
  2. Peel the cucumber.
  3. Cut everything into small cubes.
  4. Combine all ingredients and blend with a hand mixer or blender until smooth.
  5. Pour mixture through a strainer.
  6. Season with a pinch of salt and, if desired, some black pepper from the grinder.

This gazpacho combines nicely with lobster, Dutch shrimps, or opt for goat cheese for a vegetarian option.
