The architecture of our houses is unique and they are situated in an original landscape. Everything is made by people with expertise and love for their trade. The dishes our chefs create are refined and of high quality.

Our team and guests feel right at home when experiencing our houses and surroundings. Staff and guests are welcomed by warm-hearted & sincere people. In our dishes we use as many local ingredients as possible.

About Camille Oostwegel sr.

Hotelier and guardian of historic properties. Camille Oostwegel is every inch the hotelier. As a youngster he always had a passion for history, culture and gastronomy which led him to enrol at the Hotel Management College in Maastricht in 1969. Graduating in 1972, he then worked for the next eight years in a range of Novotel properties. During his tenure he quickly rose to Operations Director and Advisor working on the launch of a number of new Novotel hotels outside France, in Antwerp, Luxembourg, Saabrücken, Schiedam and Breda.

Having gained great experience abroad, he returned to Limburg in 1980 and set up as an independent entrepreneur by opening his first restaurant, with four employees. Since then his business has expanded dramatically and he now employs 350 people across three hotels and seven restaurants.

History

Having gained great experience abroad, he returned to Limburg in 1980 and set up as an independent entrepreneur by opening his first restaurant, with four employees. Since then his business has expanded dramatically and he now employs 350 people across three hotels and seven restaurants.

Camille Oostwegel has gained a reputation and talent for renovating dilapidated historical properties and restoring them to their former glory. From them he has created luxurious hotels and restaurants, all with individual characteristics and personality, incorporating the best of Dutch design and hospitality.

Family heritage

The next generation has joined the family business and with true Oostwegel commitment whole heartedly support our Limburgian family values of gracious hospitality, remaining true to our historical heritage and providing creative, artisanal cuisine.


Savoir Vivre

Savoir Vivre is the house magazine of the Oostwegel Collection. The lifestyle magazine is published twice a year and is distributed through our hotels and restaurants.

Savoir Vivre is an attractive and informative magazine that devotes attention to current cultural events as well as beautiful spots in Maastricht region and the immediate area. The magazine’s regular columns introduce readers to our chefs and their vision of cooking, and each edition includes an interview by Judith Oostwegel with a successful Limburger.
