Basil Lotens new Director of Sales & Revenue Oostwegel Collection

A valuable addition

Basil Lotens has started as the new Director of Sales & Revenue at Oostwegel Collection as of June 15. In his new position, Lotens will lead the sales and revenue team and help build the success and further growth of Oostwegel Collection. With his international experience, he focuses on further expanding and promoting the value proposition of the four houses.

Lotens has more than a decade of experience in various sales positions, including at Starwood Hotels & Resorts and Marriott International, for which he worked in Brussels, Qatar and Paris, among others. In his last position, he was Global Sales Manager for the Benelux, where he was also responsible for Business Development and leisure. With his extensive experience and knowledge of global market trends, he is a valuable addition to the current team.

Four unique houses

Lotens is responsible for the sales strategy for all four houses of Oostwegel Collection. “They are impressive and unique houses in beautiful locations. Each one has a lot to offer and that making my role incredibly interesting. From intimate weddings to large conferences, and from a drink at the bar to a Michelin star dinner. Guests can turn to any of the houses at any moment in their lives.”

An important goal of the sales team is to add even more value for guests and make this known. “We do a lot in the area of sustainability, in everything we do we think about our legacy. In my position, I am looking forward to taking our beautiful story on the road and sharing our mission in my role. At the same time, we are sharpening our sales strategy for meetings and conferences and making it even more valuable. Think about offering a group sports run through the beautiful nature reserve surrounding Château St. Gerlach, an architecture tour of our unique and monumental buildings, or a relaxing breathwork session to reduce stress. This way, we connect to the needs in the hospitality market.”

Innovative sales strategy

Camille Oostwegel, owner and managing director of Oostwegel Collection, is very pleased with Lotens’ arrival. “There are many wonderful new developments within our company.
