Château Neercanne opens seven ultimate luxury and exceptional suites

Netherlands’ most exclusive suites open from today

The time has finally come: after an almost year-long renovation, the most luxurious, special, and exclusive suites in the Netherlands are ready for use. Château Neercanne today opens seven suites on the enchanting 17th-century estate where there was previously no accommodation option. The design combines modern and historic elements and the suites are equipped with all the luxurious comforts. With the beautiful Jeker valley, the rich history of the castle, the special marl caves and top-level gastronomy, Château Neercanne, a member of Relais & Châteaux, has everything for an unforgettable experience.

Guests have a choice of seven different suites, including one Deluxe Garden suite and one Superior Garden suite. All accommodations are located in the original lodge on the estate, and feature a unique design in which interior designer Roelfien Vos has incorporated elements of nature and surroundings. The view from the rooms extends from the Jeker Valley to Belgium and the Canner Mountain. All seven suites have access to the shared garden; the Deluxe Garden suite and Superior Garden suite also have a private garden terrace.

Luxury amenities

Each suite has a king-size bed, sitting area and private bathroom with rain shower; some also have a bathtub. Naturally, the suites are equipped with many luxury amenities befitting a luxury suite. Additionally, each room reservation guarantees a table for lunch or dinner at Michelin-starred Restaurant Château Neercanne or Michelin Bib Gourmand-awarded L’Auberge. “We are very pleased that our guests can now fully enjoy the gastronomic heritage of Château Neercanne,” says Pierre Haenen, General Manager of Château Neercanne. “They will soon experience our estate in a way that was not possible before. And guests celebrating special occasions with us, such as weddings, can make it even more unforgettable with an overnight stay.”

Worldwide unique suites

According to Camille Oostwegel, Owner and Managing Director of Oostwegel Collection, the suites are one of a kind, not only in the Netherlands but worldwide. “Besides the endless possibilities that Château Neercanne offers, staying here is truly meaningful. Oostwegel Collection has realized the suites with respect for the important cultural heritage, and we are committed to preserving it,” Oostwegel said. “We want Château Neercanne, like the other houses within our collection, to last for generations to come. As a guest, you contribute to the preservation of this beautiful national monument.”

“We are incredibly proud to welcome our first guests today,” adds Haenen. The experience of this meaningful luxury, in beautiful surroundings, less than a ten-minute drive from Maastricht, a city with endless cultural opportunities, makes a stay at Château Neercanne an extraordinary experience that we can’t wait to share with the world.”
