Homemade cookies

Many of us have found ourselves with some extra time at home. What better time to learn, develop, and hone our baking skills, while also bringing joy to you and your families. This simple and fun recipe makes the most of staple ingredients in your kitchen.

Guido Le Bron de Vexela – Chef de cuisine


  • 1 egg yolk
  • 150 g. Butter
  • 100 g. white caster sugar
  • 200 g. baking flour
  • Pinch of salt
  • Pinch of vanilla sugar

Preparation method

  1. Preheat the oven to 170° C.
  2. Mix all ingredients together with a hand mixer into a granular dough.
  3. Remove the dough from the mixing bowl and knead it by hand into a smooth dough.
  4. Let it rest at room temperature for an hour.
  5. Roll out the dough between 2 baking sheets with a rolling pin to about 4 mm. thickness.
  6. Cut out the cookies to the desired shape and place them on a baking tray.
  7. Bake the cookies in the middle of the oven for about 15 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Finally, before serving, you can spread homemade jam or fresh honey on the cookies.
